From 2764ce38ff89667fc4073fb66cdd634caaffd613 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Case Duckworth Date: Thu, 12 Mar 2015 13:01:16 -0700 Subject: Fix #9 - ekphrastisize some poems For ekphrastic articles, add `ekphrastic` node to YAML metadata. This node includes subnodes `image`, `title`, `alt`, `link`, and `class`. `image` provides a link to the local image--just include the file name with the extension, not the folder (all images should be in /img/.) `title` provides the title of the image, and the alt-text, if there is no `alt` node. `alt`, if it exists, provides the alt text for the image. `link`, if present, wraps the image in an `` tag--it should point to the source web page of the ekphrastic image. `class`, if present, sets the class(es) for the image, for styling. In this commit, I've set `ekphrastic` on the four articles that have them so far: 'The Death Zone,' 'AMBER alert,' 'The moon is gone,' and 'Man.' I've also updated .template.html with the changes, and updated README.md to reflect the changes in YAML structure. --- boy_bus.html | 11 +++++------ 1 file changed, 5 insertions(+), 6 deletions(-) (limited to 'boy_bus.html') diff --git a/boy_bus.html b/boy_bus.html index 46ceebd..2de5940 100644 --- a/boy_bus.html +++ b/boy_bus.html @@ -37,12 +37,11 @@ -

When he said Bible I heard his southern accent
and he had a face I expect all pastors must have
a round open honest face
that will always be a boy’s face
though its owner may rightly call himself a man
near my age though I hardly call myself a man

-

I have seen this face before whether in life or a dream
I can’t tell
I might’ve seen him on the street once
twice who knows and his pastor’s moon face
reminds me of something
some distant light my life used to own

-

One night on my birthday the moon was so strong it cast shadows
I could see to the far hill and back it was all clear to me

-

The moon hasn’t done that in a long time
its face has been obscured by clouds for weeks
and that boy on the bus his face I’ve forgotten
I thought I recognized a good number of people
on that bus who I didn’t know at all
