From 5685e1dba9b485939c833ba86f4e5c2e5e34453b Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Case Duckworth Date: Sat, 14 Mar 2015 11:33:26 -0700 Subject: Mostly fix #11: Dedication/epigraph alignment So the issue is solved in terms of how it looks, though it adds a gross extra div into every page and uses :only-child, which I don't think is super-supported. But it's the best I can do that I know of until we get to better flexbox support. Or you know, maybe later I can try doing some templating fixes-- injecting classes so that normally, .dedication is right-aligned but when an epigraph is present, change the class to .dedication-left or something. IDK. Either way is sort of ugly. :( --- squirrel.html | 6 ++++-- 1 file changed, 4 insertions(+), 2 deletions(-) (limited to 'squirrel.html') diff --git a/squirrel.html b/squirrel.html index 0ba7e32..8ce331f 100644 --- a/squirrel.html +++ b/squirrel.html @@ -34,8 +34,10 @@

The squirrel

- - +
+ +
+

He is so full in himself:
how far down the branch to run,
how long to jump, when to grab the air
and catch in it and turn, and land on branch
so gracefully it’s like dying, alone
and warm in a bed next to a summer window
and the birds singing. And on that branch there
is the squirrel dancing among the branches
and you think What if he fell? but he won’t
because he’s a squirrel and that’s what
they do, dance and never fall. It was erased
long ago from the squirrel, even
the possibility of falling was erased
from his being by the slow inexorable evolution
of squirrels, that is why all squirrels
are so full in themselves, full in who they are.
